For over 146 years, the Governor Stone sailed the Gulf of Mexico from Pascagoula, Mississippi to Carrabelle, Florida. The Friends of the Governor Stone are currently working with FEMA and State of Florida Historic Preservation Office to secure funding to rebuild our beloved schooner.
The Friends of the Governor Stone raised $150,000 that FEMA required before we could receive the grant for the rebuild. Unfortunately, it is currently taking 4 months to receive funds from FEMA for each phase of the work.
Your donation will help keep funds flowing into the project so we can avoid work slow downs while we wait for payments from FEMA.
