Colleen Reilly
President
Colleen Reilly joined F.O.G.S. in 2012 serving as a crew member during events in Apalachicola and Carrabelle. She joined the Board as Secretary in 2016. Now, as President since 2020, Colleen’s diverse experience as a paralegal, journalist and owner of Catering Connections provides for a logistical and creative approach during the rebuilding and relaunching of The Governor Stone. -
Amanda Kilbourn
Vice President
Amanda Kilbourn has been a member of F.O.G.S. since 2012 and has served on the Board since 2014 as Secretary and President. In her current position of Vice President, Amanda will continue as liaison for FEMA’s Historic Grant application which will provide the majority of funding to rebuild The Governor Stone after her sinking in 2018’s Hurricane Michael. As a crew member, Amanda is experienced in small craft building, rebuilding and sailing.

Laura Powell
Treasurer
Laura [Last Name] joined the Board in 2025, bringing extensive experience in board leadership and organizational management. A former U.S. Naval Sea Cadet who earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer, she developed a strong foundation in maritime tradition and leadership early on.
She holds a Master of Education in Family and Children Services and is co-owner of a coastal boat rental business with her husband. Laura’s background in education, governance, and the working waterfront supports the Governor Stone’s mission as a living maritime classroom and heritage tourism asset.

Jon Graydon
Education and Operations
Jon Graydon is currently a 1st Air Force (Air Forces Northern) civil support planner at Tyndall AFB and a retired U.S. Marine Reserve lieutenant colonel. As the Commanding Officer for the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Sea Wolf Division in Panama City, Florida, Jon has served as the Board’s liaison for youth sail training, small boat maintenance and community service. His extensive military and civilian experience includes a multitude of seaman, diving and sailing certifications.

Sondra Groom
At-Large
Sondra Groom joined the Board in 2018. She hails from a family of mariners and is employed by the historic St. Andrews Marina in an administrative capacity and as the marina liaison to The Governor Stone.

Frank Virciglio
At-Large
Frank Virciglio spent 21 years in the USAF, retiring as a Major and a Master Navigator. Additionally, he has 10 years of experience as a computer technician, and network system administrator. He is a qualified crew member on the Governor Stone with 6 years experience sailing and maintaining the vessel.

Clayton Studstill
Attorney
With over 18 years of legal experience and helping fellow residents after Hurricane Michael, Clayton Studstill knows how to work with FEMA and other government agencies to get things done. He has been affiliated with the Governor Stone since her time in Apalachicola, Florida. When he’s not out sailing on vacation, Clayton can be found cheering his children on at ballgames and other competitions.

Theresa Holland
Supply Officer
As the daughter of Master Shipbuilder Bill Holland, Theresa has been helping build boats since elementary school. She and her family have worked on the Governor Stone during several haul outs and reconstructions so she is the perfect Supply Officer. Based in D’Iberville, Mississippi, Theresa is literally across the bay from the birthplace of our schooner in Pascagoula.

As the owner of two thriving businesses nestled near the picturesque St. Andrews Marina, Melissa's business acumen and deep understanding of the local market is an asset to the Governor Stone. Her commitment to the community and passion for fostering community growth make her an influential figure in the St. Andrews business landscape.

Marketing Chair
Sharon Boyk has been a dedicated member of Friends of the Governor Stone since its founding. As head of marketing and sales, she brings energy, warmth, and a welcoming presence to local markets and events, where she shares the story of the Governor Stone and keeps the community informed on restoration progress. Her enthusiasm and outreach efforts help keep the vessel’s legacy alive and growing.
